Gordon Mullen is a retired Primary school principal. Originally from Portadown, Northern Ireland. Gordon’s family migrated to Australia in 1958 and settled in Melbourne. He qualified as a Primary School teacher and upgraded to a specialist teacher for children with special needs: physical and mental.

Together, with his wife Heather, Gordon served in a number of positions of leadership in youth and children’s programs with Scripture Union, worked with Wycliffe Bible Translators in Papua New Guinea, served as an elder with Truth and Liberation Concern in Melbourne and is currently an elder in a community church in Yackandandah in Victoria’s North East. In more recent days he has worked as a Refugee Advocate and media spokesperson on behalf of the Australian Kosovar Support Network.

He has a passion for communicating the Gospel and has utilised his skills as a writer of songs, plays and musicals. He has a wide interest in other creative activities – silk painting, weaving, picture framing, guitar and piano.

Gordon and Heather are parents to four adult children and live at Osbornes Flat in Victoria’s North East.
